PART I – OUR COMMUNITY
1. Welcome to the Consultopen Community
Welcome to ConsulTOpen.
ConsulTOpen is more than a platform for career guidance, mental wellness, mentorship and professional consultations. It is a community built upon respect, trust, professionalism, empathy and continuous personal growth.
Every member of the ConsulTOpen community—including Users, Minor Users, Parents, Legal Guardians, Consultants, Educational Institutions, Platform personnel and every other participant—plays an important role in creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where individuals can confidently learn, seek guidance and achieve their personal, academic and professional goals.
These Community Guidelines establish the behavioural expectations that help maintain a welcoming environment for everyone using the Platform.
By treating one another with dignity, communicating respectfully and acting responsibly, every community member contributes to an environment where learning, collaboration, emotional wellbeing and constructive discussions can flourish.
These Guidelines complement, and shall be read together with, the Terms & Conditions, User Code of Conduct, Consultant Code of Conduct, Child Safety Policy, Parent Consent Policy and every other applicable Platform Policy.
Every participant shares responsibility for protecting the integrity, safety and positive culture of the ConsulTOpen community.
2. Purpose
The purpose of these Community Guidelines is to establish the behavioural principles, community values and participation standards expected from every individual using the ConsulTOpen Platform.
Without limitation, these Guidelines are intended to:
- promote a respectful and inclusive community;
- encourage kindness, empathy and professionalism;
- support meaningful learning and constructive discussions;
- foster responsible communication;
- promote honest participation;
- protect the privacy and safety of Users;
- support child safety and safeguarding measures;
- encourage responsible use of Artificial Intelligence features;
- prevent harassment, bullying and discrimination;
- discourage misinformation and harmful content;
- encourage responsible feedback and reviews;
- maintain trust within the community;
- promote responsible digital citizenship;
- protect Consultants, Users and Educational Institutions;
- support fair moderation of community interactions; and
- preserve the integrity and reputation of the ConsulTOpen Platform.
These Guidelines are intended to encourage positive participation while helping every member understand the standards expected within the ConsulTOpen community.
Nothing contained in these Guidelines limits any obligation imposed under applicable law or any other Platform Policy.
3. Scope
These Community Guidelines apply to every person who accesses, visits, registers for, uses or otherwise participates in the ConsulTOpen Platform.
Without limitation, these Guidelines apply to:
- Users;
- Minor Users;
- Parents;
- Legal Guardians;
- Consultants;
- Educational Institutions;
- schools;
- colleges;
- universities;
- coaching institutions;
- corporate organisations participating in Platform services;
- Platform personnel;
- moderators;
- authorised representatives;
- contractors where applicable;
- volunteers where applicable; and
- every future participant using Platform services.
These Guidelines apply to every interaction occurring on or through the Platform, including without limitation:
- consultations;
- messaging;
- profile creation;
- profile information;
- reviews and ratings;
- AI interactions;
- community discussions;
- forums;
- group sessions;
- webinars;
- workshops;
- live events;
- educational programmes;
- mentorship programmes;
- future community features; and
- every other interaction facilitated by ConsulTOpen.
These Guidelines apply irrespective of:
- subscription plan;
- consultation category;
- communication method;
- geographical location;
- language;
- operating system;
- device used;
- payment method;
- Artificial Intelligence features; or
- future technologies introduced by ConsulTOpen.
These Guidelines apply before, during and after every interaction where the relevant conduct relates to the ConsulTOpen community.
PART II – COMMUNITY EXPECTATIONS
4. Definitions
For the purposes of these Community Guidelines:
"User" means any individual accessing or using the ConsulTOpen Platform.
"Minor User" means any individual below eighteen (18) years of age unless otherwise required by applicable law.
"Parent" means a biological or adoptive parent having lawful responsibility for a Minor User.
"Legal Guardian" means any individual or entity lawfully authorised to exercise responsibility for a Minor User.
"Consultant" means an individual approved by ConsulTOpen to provide professional services through the Platform.
"Educational Institution" means any school, college, university, coaching institution or other educational organisation participating in Platform services.
"Community" means every individual and organisation participating in or interacting through the ConsulTOpen Platform.
"Platform" means the ConsulTOpen website, mobile applications, software, Artificial Intelligence systems and every related service operated by ConsulTOpen.
"Content" means any text, image, audio, video, review, rating, message, document, comment, profile information, AI interaction or any other material shared through the Platform.
"Artificial Intelligence" or "AI" means any automated technology, intelligent software or AI-powered feature made available through the Platform.
Unless otherwise defined herein, capitalised terms shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Terms & Conditions or other applicable Platform Policies.
5. Applicability
Compliance with these Community Guidelines is mandatory for every participant using the ConsulTOpen Platform.
These Guidelines apply from the moment a person:
- visits the Platform;
- creates an account;
- participates in consultations;
- communicates with another User;
- interacts with AI features;
- submits reviews or ratings;
- joins community discussions;
- participates in webinars, workshops or group sessions;
- attends Platform events;
- accesses educational content; or
- otherwise uses any Platform feature or service.
Failure to comply with these Community Guidelines may result in:
- educational guidance;
- warnings;
- removal of Content;
- temporary restrictions on Platform features;
- cancellation of consultations;
- suspension of accounts;
- permanent termination of Platform access;
- reporting to competent authorities where authorised or required by applicable law; or
- any other lawful action reasonably considered necessary to protect the ConsulTOpen
community.
These Community Guidelines apply together with every other applicable Platform Policy and are intended to promote a safe, respectful and supportive environment for every member of the ConsulTOpen community.
PART III – SAFETY & PRIVACY
21. Personal Safety
The safety and wellbeing of every member of the ConsulTOpen community is a fundamental priority.
Every User is expected to take reasonable precautions to protect themselves and others while using the Platform.
Without limitation, Users should:
- interact respectfully with others;
- avoid risky or unsafe behaviour;
- exercise reasonable judgment during interactions;
- immediately report conduct that appears unsafe or suspicious;
- protect their physical, emotional and digital wellbeing;
- encourage safe participation by others;
- follow Platform safety recommendations;
- cooperate with safeguarding measures;
- seek assistance whenever they feel unsafe; and
- comply with applicable Platform Policies.
No User shall knowingly engage in conduct that places another member of the community at unnecessary risk.
22. Privacy Protection
Every member of the ConsulTOpen community deserves to have their privacy respected.
Users shall respect the confidentiality and privacy of every other participant while using the Platform.
Without limitation, Users shall not:
- disclose another person's private information without lawful authority;
- misuse confidential information;
- access another person's account without authorisation;
- share confidential consultation information;
- misuse screenshots or recordings;
- collect unnecessary personal information; or
- otherwise violate another person's privacy.
The collection, use, storage and disclosure of personal information remain subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
23. Protect Personal Information
Users are encouraged to protect their own personal information while participating in the ConsulTOpen community.
Without limitation, Users should avoid unnecessarily sharing:
- mobile numbers;
- residential addresses;
- government identification numbers;
- banking or payment information;
- passwords;
- OTPs;
- confidential documents;
- private social media accounts;
- personal email credentials; or
- any other sensitive personal information.
Users remain responsible for exercising reasonable care while sharing personal information through the Platform.
24. Child Safety
The protection of Minor Users is one of the highest priorities of ConsulTOpen.
Every member of the community shall contribute to maintaining a safe environment for Minor Users.
Without limitation, Users shall:
- respect the Child Safety Policy;
- respect the Parent Consent Policy;
- maintain appropriate professional boundaries;
- immediately report suspected child safety concerns;
- avoid inappropriate communication with Minor Users;
- comply with safeguarding procedures;
- cooperate with investigations relating to child safety;
- respect Parent or Legal Guardian involvement where applicable; and
- act in the best interests of Minor Users.
ConsulTOpen maintains zero tolerance for child abuse, grooming, exploitation, Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and every other form of conduct that threatens the safety or wellbeing of Minor Users.
25. Respect for Mental Wellness Discussions
ConsulTOpen encourages respectful, compassionate and supportive discussions relating to mental wellness.
Users shall recognise that individuals may share personal experiences involving emotional wellbeing, stress, anxiety, academic pressure, career uncertainty or other sensitive topics.
Accordingly, Users shall not:
- mock another person's emotional experiences;
- trivialise mental health concerns;
- shame individuals seeking support;
- encourage self-harm;
- promote harmful stereotypes;
- deliberately trigger emotional distress;
- harass individuals discussing mental wellbeing; or
- otherwise undermine a supportive environment.
Users are encouraged to communicate with empathy, patience and respect while participating in mental wellness discussions.
26. Safe AI Usage
Artificial Intelligence ("AI") features provided through the Platform shall be used responsibly and ethically.
Users shall not use AI features to:
- generate harmful content;
- generate abusive or offensive material;
- spread misinformation;
- manipulate other Users;
- facilitate academic dishonesty;
- encourage unlawful conduct;
- harass another person;
- bypass Platform safeguards; or
- otherwise misuse AI services.
Users acknowledge that AI is an assistive technology and does not replace professional advice or human judgment.
27. Safe Communication
Every interaction within the ConsulTOpen community should promote respect, professionalism and constructive dialogue.
Users shall:
- communicate respectfully;
- remain courteous;
- use appropriate language;
- avoid personal attacks;
- avoid inflammatory behaviour;
- avoid abusive language;
- encourage healthy discussions;
- listen respectfully to differing opinions; and
- communicate honestly and responsibly.
Constructive disagreement is welcomed.
Disrespectful communication is not.
28. Off-platform Interactions
Users should exercise caution when choosing to communicate or interact outside the ConsulTOpen Platform.
ConsulTOpen cannot supervise or moderate communications occurring outside authorised Platform services.
Accordingly, Users should:
- exercise reasonable judgment;
- avoid sharing unnecessary personal information;
- remain alert to scams and fraud;
- avoid unsafe meetings;
- report suspicious behaviour affecting Platform Users; and
- comply with applicable Platform Policies where the relevant conduct relates to the
Platform.
Nothing contained herein requires any User to communicate outside the Platform.
29. Reporting Safety Concerns
Every member of the ConsulTOpen community is encouraged to report conduct that may threaten the safety, wellbeing or integrity of the Platform.
Without limitation, Users should report:
- harassment;
- bullying;
- discrimination;
- scams;
- fake accounts;
- child safety concerns;
- abuse;
- threats;
- unlawful conduct;
- misinformation causing significant harm;
- security concerns; or
- any other behaviour that appears inconsistent with these Community Guidelines.
Reports should be made honestly, promptly and in good faith through the authorised reporting channels.
Knowingly submitting false or malicious reports may itself constitute a violation of these Community Guidelines.
PART IV – CONTENT & PLATFORM STANDARDS
30. No Solicitation & Unauthorised Advertising
The ConsulTOpen Platform is intended for learning, counselling, mentorship and professional engagement—not for unsolicited commercial promotion.
Users shall not, without prior written authorisation from ConsulTOpen:
- advertise products or services;
- promote businesses;
- distribute referral links;
- share affiliate marketing links;
- conduct unsolicited recruitment;
- solicit investments;
- conduct unauthorised fundraising;
- send promotional messages;
- post repetitive advertisements;
- encourage Users to purchase unrelated products or services; or
- otherwise use the Platform primarily for commercial promotion.
ConsulTOpen reserves the right to remove promotional content that is inconsistent with the intended purpose of the Platform.
31. Harassment & Bullying
ConsulTOpen maintains zero tolerance for harassment, bullying or abusive behaviour.
Users shall not:
- insult others;
- intimidate another User;
- repeatedly target an individual;
- engage in cyberbullying;
- ridicule or humiliate another participant;
- encourage harassment by others;
- deliberately provoke hostility; or
- otherwise create an unsafe or hostile environment.
Every member of the community deserves to participate without fear of harassment or bullying.
32. Hate Speech & Discrimination
Users shall treat every individual with dignity and respect.
Content or behaviour that promotes hatred, discrimination or prejudice against any individual or group is strictly prohibited.
Without limitation, Users shall not engage in discrimination based upon:
- race;
- ethnicity;
- nationality;
- religion;
- disability;
- age;
- gender;
- sexual orientation where protected by applicable law; or
- any other characteristic protected under applicable law.
ConsulTOpen is committed to maintaining an inclusive community where every individual is treated fairly and respectfully.
PART V – COMMUNITY MODERATION
45. Community Moderation
ConsulTOpen is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive and trustworthy community.
To protect the integrity of the Platform, ConsulTOpen reserves the right to moderate community activity in a fair, reasonable, proportionate and consistent manner.
Community moderation may include, without limitation:
- reviewing reported content;
- reviewing user activity;
- investigating suspected violations;
- protecting Minor Users;
- preventing abuse;
- preventing fraud;
- maintaining Platform integrity;
- protecting Consultants and Users;
- enforcing applicable Platform Policies; and
- taking other lawful moderation measures reasonably necessary to maintain a safe
community.
Moderation decisions shall be made with due regard to:
- the safety of Users;
- the seriousness of the conduct;
- previous behaviour;
- available evidence;
- applicable law;
- Platform Policies; and
- the overall wellbeing of the ConsulTOpen community.
46. Content Removal
ConsulTOpen reserves the right to remove, restrict, edit, hide or disable access to any Content that is reasonably believed to violate:
- these Community Guidelines;
- the Terms & Conditions;
- the User Code of Conduct;
- the Child Safety Policy;
- the Parent Consent Policy;
- applicable law; or
- any other applicable Platform Policy.
Content may also be removed where it:
- creates safety risks;
- promotes abuse;
- contains misinformation likely to cause significant harm;
- infringes intellectual property rights;
- violates another person's privacy;
- contains unlawful material;
- threatens Platform security; or
- otherwise undermines the integrity of the community.
Removal of Content shall not limit any additional action that ConsulTOpen may lawfully take.
47. Account Restrictions
Where reasonably necessary, ConsulTOpen may temporarily or permanently restrict access to Platform services.
Restrictions may include:
- limiting specific Platform features;
- disabling messaging;
- restricting AI access;
- preventing participation in community discussions;
- suspending consultations;
- temporary account suspension;
- permanent account termination;
- additional verification requirements; or
- any other lawful restriction reasonably necessary to protect the Platform or its Users.
Restrictions may be imposed immediately where delay could increase risks to the community.
48. Reporting Violations
Every member of the ConsulTOpen community is encouraged to report conduct that appears inconsistent with these Community Guidelines.
Without limitation, reports may relate to:
- harassment;
- bullying;
- hate speech;
- discrimination;
- abuse;
- scams;
- fake accounts;
- child safety concerns;
- misinformation;
- spam;
- intellectual property violations;
- unlawful conduct;
- Platform abuse; or
- any other conduct reasonably believed to violate these Guidelines.
Reports should:
- be submitted honestly;
- contain accurate information;
- be made in good faith;
- avoid malicious intent; and
- be submitted through authorised Platform channels.
Knowingly submitting false or malicious reports may itself constitute a violation of these Guidelines.
49. Investigations
ConsulTOpen may investigate any suspected violation of these Community Guidelines.
Investigations may include:
- review of reports;
- review of Platform activity;
- review of communications;
- review of uploaded Content;
- review of consultation records where appropriate;
- identity verification;
- consultation with relevant parties;
- technical analysis;
- legal review; and
- every other lawful investigative measure reasonably necessary.
Users are expected to cooperate honestly with lawful investigations conducted by ConsulTOpen.
Investigations shall be conducted fairly, impartially, confidentially and in accordance with applicable law.
50. Appeals
Where permitted by ConsulTOpen, Users affected by moderation decisions may submit an appeal through the authorised grievance or support channels.
Appeals should:
- identify the relevant moderation decision;
- explain the grounds for appeal;
- provide supporting information where available; and
- be submitted within any applicable time period communicated by ConsulTOpen.
Submission of an appeal does not automatically suspend or reverse the original moderation decision.
ConsulTOpen shall review appeals fairly, reasonably and in accordance with applicable law while prioritising the safety and integrity of the community.
51. Repeat Violations
ConsulTOpen may apply progressively stronger enforcement measures where a User repeatedly violates these Community Guidelines or other applicable Platform Policies.
Without limitation, repeated violations may result in:
- educational guidance;
- verbal warnings;
- written warnings;
- temporary restrictions on Platform features;
- mandatory verification requirements;
- temporary suspension;
- long-term suspension;
- permanent termination of Platform access;
- reporting to competent authorities where authorised or required by applicable law; or
- any other lawful action reasonably considered necessary.
Nothing contained herein limits ConsulTOpen's right to immediately suspend or terminate access where a single violation is sufficiently serious.
PART VI – BUILDING A STRONG COMMUNITY
52. Community Recognition
ConsulTOpen believes that positive contributions help build a stronger, healthier and more supportive community.
Accordingly, ConsulTOpen may, at its sole discretion, recognise Users, Consultants, Educational Institutions or other community members who consistently demonstrate:
- respectful behaviour;
- professionalism;
- kindness;
- empathy;
- constructive participation;
- meaningful learning;
- responsible mentorship;
- valuable educational contributions;
- positive engagement; or
- other conduct that strengthens the community.
Recognition may take various forms determined by ConsulTOpen and shall not create any contractual right or entitlement.
53. Continuous Community Growth
The ConsulTOpen community will continue to evolve as new services, technologies and educational opportunities are introduced.
Every community member is encouraged to:
- contribute positively;
- support new members;
- encourage respectful discussions;
- promote responsible learning;
- share knowledge honestly;
- embrace diversity;
- encourage collaboration;
- provide constructive feedback;
- help maintain community integrity; and
- contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment.
ConsulTOpen remains committed to continuously improving the community experience while protecting the safety, dignity and wellbeing of every participant.
PART VII – COMMUNITY GOVERNANCE
54. Community Enforcement Philosophy
ConsulTOpen is committed to fostering a community that is safe, respectful, inclusive and supportive for every participant.
Accordingly, Community Guidelines shall be enforced in a manner that is:
- fair;
- impartial;
- proportionate;
- transparent where reasonably practicable;
- respectful of applicable law;
- consistent with Platform Policies;
- focused on education where appropriate;
- focused on protecting vulnerable Users;
- protective of Minor Users;
- mindful of individual circumstances; and
- directed towards maintaining the long-term integrity of the ConsulTOpen community.
When enforcing these Community Guidelines, ConsulTOpen may consider:
- the seriousness of the conduct;
- whether the conduct was intentional;
- previous violations;
- the impact upon other Users;
- the safety of the community;
- available evidence;
- applicable legal obligations; and
- every other relevant circumstance.
Nothing contained herein limits ConsulTOpen's ability to take immediate action where reasonably necessary to protect Users, Consultants, Minor Users or the Platform.
55. Community Guidelines as Guiding Principles
These Community Guidelines are intended to establish the principles and standards that help maintain a respectful, safe and trustworthy community.
These Guidelines should be interpreted together with:
- the Terms & Conditions;
- the User Code of Conduct;
- the Consultant Terms & Conditions;
- the Consultant Code of Conduct;
- the Child Safety Policy;
- the Parent Consent Policy;
- the Privacy Policy;
- the Session Standards Policy; and
- every other applicable Platform Policy.
Not every form of inappropriate conduct can reasonably be anticipated or expressly described within these Community Guidelines.
Accordingly, ConsulTOpen reserves the right to take reasonable moderation or enforcement action against conduct that:
- undermines the spirit or objectives of these Community Guidelines;
- threatens the safety or wellbeing of Users;
- damages the integrity of the Platform;
- disrupts the community experience;
- compromises child safety;
- encourages unlawful conduct; or
- is otherwise inconsistent with the values and principles upon which the ConsulTOpen
community is built.
These Community Guidelines shall always be interpreted in a manner that promotes respect, safety, professionalism, learning, inclusiveness and responsible participation.
PART VIII – GENERAL PROVISIONS
56. Policy Amendments
ConsulTOpen reserves the unrestricted right to amend, revise, supplement, replace or update these Community Guidelines whenever reasonably necessary.
Without limitation, amendments may be made to reflect:
- changes in applicable laws;
- judicial decisions;
- regulatory requirements;
- technological developments;
- Artificial Intelligence advancements;
- cybersecurity requirements;
- Platform improvements;
- operational experience;
- community feedback;
- safeguarding best practices;
- educational partnerships;
- business requirements; or
- any other lawful operational necessity.
Material amendments may be communicated through:
- Website notices;
- Dashboard notifications;
- Email;
- SMS;
- WhatsApp;
- Push notifications;
- In-App notifications; or
- any other electronic communication channel considered appropriate by ConsulTOpen.
Continued use of the Platform following the effective date of an amendment shall constitute acceptance of the revised Community Guidelines to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
57. Severability
If any provision of these Community Guidelines is determined by a court, tribunal or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
The remaining provisions shall remain valid, binding and enforceable.
Where reasonably possible, any invalid provision shall be interpreted or modified in a manner that most closely reflects its original purpose while remaining legally enforceable.
58. No Waiver
Failure or delay by ConsulTOpen to exercise or enforce any right, remedy or provision available under these Community Guidelines shall not constitute:
- a waiver;
- abandonment;
- estoppel;
- limitation of future enforcement; or
- relinquishment of any legal or contractual right.
Any waiver shall be valid only if expressly made in writing by an authorised representative of ConsulTOpen.
No waiver of any breach shall constitute a waiver of any subsequent or continuing breach.
59. Relationship with Other Policies
These Community Guidelines form an integral part of the legal and operational framework governing the ConsulTOpen Platform.
These Community Guidelines shall be read together with:
- Terms & Conditions;
- Privacy Policy;
- Cookie & Data Retention Policy;
- User Code of Conduct;
- Consultant Terms & Conditions;
- Consultant Code of Conduct;
- Child Safety Policy;
- Parent Consent Policy;
- Session Standards Policy;
- Consultant Onboarding Handbook;
- Refund Policy;
- Payout & Commission Policy;
- AI Usage Disclaimer;
- Recommendation Disclaimer;
- Career Guidance Disclaimer;
- Mental Wellness Disclaimer;
- Intellectual Property Policy;
- Grievance Redressal Policy; and
- every future Platform Policy published by ConsulTOpen.
Where any inconsistency exists between these Community Guidelines and another Platform Policy, the provision providing the greater protection to Users and the Platform shall prevail unless otherwise required by applicable law.

ConsulTOpen shall use commercially reasonable efforts to acknowledge and review communications relating to these Community Guidelines within a reasonable period, subject to applicable law and the nature of the matter.
61. Effective Date
These Community Guidelines shall become effective on the Effective Date specified in the Document Control section.
By accessing, registering for, using or otherwise participating in the ConsulTOpen Platform, every User acknowledges and agrees that:
- they have read and understood these Community Guidelines;
- they agree to comply with these Community Guidelines and every other applicable
Platform Policy;
- they will contribute positively to the ConsulTOpen community;
- they understand that ConsulTOpen may moderate community activity where
reasonably necessary;
- they acknowledge that violations of these Community Guidelines may result in
warnings, content removal, suspension, termination or other lawful enforcement measures; and
- they agree to cooperate with lawful moderation, safeguarding and compliance
procedures.
Nothing contained in these Community Guidelines shall limit any rights, obligations or remedies available under applicable law or under any other binding agreement between the relevant participant and ConsulTOpen.
